The IT team quickly found NearHub boards easy to use. Previously, starting a meeting could take 10 minutes. Now, employees can walk into an office space, and the device switches on immediately. With just one click, the meeting starts, and there's no need to fumble around for a remote.
Another significant improvement is the reduction of cables. NearHub boards are all-in-one systems with only a power cable, enabling wireless content sharing. Employees can attend meetings with their laptops or mobile devices without worrying about USB or HDMI cables.
Remote participants also benefit from NearHub’s superior audio and video capabilities. AI noise cancellation and advanced camera modes ensure everyone can see and hear clearly. The built-in 24 microphones and integrated AI noise cancellation technology provide crystal-clear audio, making meetings more effective. The large, high-resolution screens and intuitive interface make it easy to share content, annotate documents, and brainstorm ideas collectively.
Enhanced Collaboration with Canvas
One standout feature of the NearHub S65 boards is the Canvas application, which Digital Edge uses extensively. Canvas allows teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Indonesia to work on the same virtual whiteboard simultaneously.
Previously, participants made individual notes and took pictures to capture important points. Now, they join the Canvas, where they can adjust plans and annotate projects in real-time. This capability has significantly improved project coordination and creativity, enabling team members to contribute ideas and feedback instantaneously, fostering a dynamic and productive work environment.
Screen Casting with NearHub Tail
Digital Edge frequently hosts external guests for onsite meetings. To address the need for seamless and secure presentations, especially for external guests, they have adopted the NearHub Tail. This device allows effortless screen casting without connecting to the company's Wi-Fi network, providing an additional layer of security crucial for their cybersecurity operations. External guests can easily cast their screens during meetings, ensuring smooth and secure presentations.
Mirroring Displays for Training and Large Sessions
Before adopting NearHub S65 boards, Digital Edge faced challenges during larger training sessions and all-hands meetings. Participants often struggled to see content clearly on standard monitors, limiting engagement and hindering session effectiveness. To address this, Digital Edge now mirrors the NearHub board’s display to an external TV using an HDMI-out cable. This setup transforms the training and meeting environment by projecting content onto a larger screen, ensuring everyone in the room can see the presentation clearly.
